After you qualify from the preliminary section (primary medical test and viva) you will have to sit for the written exam. The written exam is based on the following subjects,

Bengali - 50 marks (time 1 hours)
English - 50 marks (time 1 hours)
General Math - 50 marks (time 1 hours)
General Knowledge - 50 marks (time 30 minutes)

pass number for each subject is 20. You will have to pass all the subjects to qualify. English is the most important subject. If someone passes getting 20 marks or near 20 is called poor marks. There will be no problem if someone passes getting 20 marks in Bengali, General Math and General knowledge or any of the subjects but if someone gets 20 in English there may be a problem of disqualification. The General Knowledge is the most hard subject. You will have to spend a lot of time memorizing the answers. Currency, Historical places, Famous persons, Ranks of Army, Name of the seven Bir Shrestas, abbreviation, capitals, name of presidents or prime ministers are very important.

The General Math is from class 9-10 or SSC level. There will be one Geometry. If you want you can skip it.

In Bengali questions from the basic gramar like sondhi, somas, karok, prokrity o prottoy, ek kothay prokas, Bagdhara etc. letter or essay or paragraph ect.

There is no fixed syllabus for the written examination.
